Leeds United Defeat QPR 1-0 Thanks to Summerville's Strike

Early Goal and Late Red Card Seal Victory for the Whites

Crysencio Summerville's early goal and a late red card for QPR's Ethan Laird secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory for Leeds United at Loftus Road Stadium.

Summerville, making his first start of the season, opened the scoring with a clinical finish just five minutes into the match. The young Dutch winger latched onto a long ball from Liam Cooper and drove into the QPR penalty area before firing past goalkeeper Seny Dieng.

Leeds maintained control of the game for much of the first half, with Summerville and Jack Harrison causing problems for the QPR defense. However, the hosts gradually grew into the game and began to create chances of their own.

In the second half, QPR pushed hard for an equalizer, but Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier produced a string of impressive saves to keep his team in the lead. As the game entered its closing stages, tempers flared and QPR's Laird was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge on Summerville.

Despite being down to 10 men, QPR continued to fight until the final whistle, but Leeds held on to secure their first win in three games. The victory moved Leeds up to ninth place in the Sky Bet Championship table, while QPR remained in 20th place.

Leeds manager Jesse Marsch praised his team's performance, saying: "I'm delighted with the result. It was a tough match, but we showed great character and determination to get the win. Crysencio Summerville was outstanding, and I'm pleased to see him back on the scoresheet."
